A different hat

Have just changed my blog title  to 'Some place else', having figured out that blog titles are meant to be not quite as loud as my previous ('Keith Westwater's writing' – still there as a byline and indicator of content).

The new one is more suggestive of major themes in my poetry, which takes you to...???

What do you think?

  1. Very appropriate, Keith! I have considered changing mine at various points, too - it is also of the loud variety - but have never been sure of what else to call it. You seem to have hit the nail on the head with your title :)

    1. Thanks Elizabeth. I'm sure yours will McCawber one day.

  2. I like it too. I recently changed my title - which used to be, boringly and loudly, just called 'Belinda Hollyer's blog'. Now it's called 'How to be happy though human', which still makes me grin. Your choice is more subtle (well it couldn't help but be that could it? Mine's not subtle at all!) and altogether more grownup.

  3. I like it: snappy, effective, interesting. I think that you can change your title as much as you like. The link will still hold.

  4. Place is very important -- not only the place we live and breathe but also the other places that writing takes us to. I really like this title. it implies that you are perhaps not altogether here, or transient -- both of which I find very appealing indeed.

This of course begs the question: when is the next poem coming, the one about some place else?

By the way, I also like the watery splashes on your site. Where do they come from?

    1. The answer to when is the next poem coming is easy – tomorrow, of course. The watery splashes are courtesy of the Blogger template 'Picture Window', which I used for the site. Thanks for the insights Michelle.
